The Smiths Were Here...

Recently at preschool Josiah has been learning about music and he brought home an activity he did that involved various musical notation symbols. I thought he might enjoy if I showed him my music notation software. So yesterday, we sat down and I showed him a few things.

A few months ago Josiah typed up words to a song he composed that he like for us to sing at community group gatherings, so we decided to make a new song. Other than the first four notes that I entered to show him how it works, the rest was all Josiah. The funny thing is that out of random chance (or pure musical genus) the song ends by resolving to the tonic for that key.
